According to USA Today, a report by Specialty Food Association and Mintel outlines top five trends that emerged at the show includes Gazpacho, beets, floral-inspired food, cocktail culture and corn.
An alternative to processed sugar was found in Maple syrup. Ethnic-inspired foods available in the cooler section of retail stores are also finding their way onto American household tables.
Vegan and organic health foods have infiltrated old-fashioned desserts as well with Organic Molten Chocolate Cake and Vegan Hot Fudge being produced by organic food companies.
