Before his remarkable ascent to the top position, Mr. Choi has been instrumental in shaping the financial and operational strategies of StarKist. Since joining the company in May 2022, he has served with distinction as the Vice President of Finance, Chief Operating Officer (COO), and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). His expertise and vision have been pivotal in steering the company through dynamic market conditions.
A Rich Tapestry of Global Experience
Mr. Choi’s professional journey is marked by diverse and extensive experience in the finance sector. Prior to joining StarKist, he held various executive positions in finance at SPC Group and Tesco, spanning across the United States, the United Kingdom, and South Korea. His tenure at these organizations, from December 2007 to April 2022, has endowed him with a global perspective and deep insights into the financial workings of major corporations.
From 1998 to November 2007, Mr. Choi honed his skills as a certified public accountant at Deloitte, gaining experience in both South Korea and the United States. His academic credentials are equally impressive, holding a Bachelor’s degree from Yonsei University in South Korea and an MBA from Manchester Business School in the United Kingdom.
