Many retailers have taken a stand and won’t sell genetically modified (GM) salmon. Natural Grocers by Vitamin Cottage has recently followed suit.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently approved the sale of GM salmon to U.S. consumers without labeling requirements. However, the natural food retailer has decided not to sell GM because doing so does not align with “the company’s strict quality standards and commitment to environmental sustainability.”
